Job summary

Antech Systems, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team, merging office-based design with on-site field validation of next-generation NDT technologies.

You will own the mechanical lifecycle from CAD to prototyping and travel to rugged environments to deploy prototypes and collect field data. The role requires drafting robust designs, performing validation tests, and collaborating with software and NDT engineers to integrate sensors and PCBs into mechanical housings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or closely related field).
• Knowledge of diverse manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal, and 3D printing).
• Preferred: experience or exposure to NDT technologies, quality assurance, or materials testing.

Responsibilities

• Innovative Mechanical Design: create, iterate, and finalize 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for NDT instruments, sensor enclosures, scanning mechanisms, and fixtures.
• Prototyping & testing: build physical prototypes and test rigs; execute mechanical, thermal, and environmental validation tests.
• Documentation: author engineering specs, BOMs, assembly procedures, test plans and reports.
• Cross-functional collaboration: partner with software and NDT engineers to integrate sensors and cabling into housings.
• General problem solving: address bottlenecks, manage vendor relations, support manufacturing transition.
