Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Compression Module Engineering team in the USA. You will drive the design, development, and validation of next-generation positive displacement compressors, collaborating with global teams and using advanced tools to ensure reliability and performance across concepts to production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 2+ years of related experience, and willingness to travel up to 10%

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 2+ years of experience in compressor design, analysis, testing, or product development.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering software such as Creo and ANSYS, CFX for CAD modeling and simulation of compressor structures.
• Perform mechanical design and analysis of screw rotors, bearings, shaft seals, pistons, and pressure-containing castings.
• Conduct Vapor-cycle refrigeration thermodynamic analysis.
• Collaborate with designers/drafters and participate in drawing reviews.
• Work with lab personnel to develop and execute laboratory test plans.
• Document design and development procedures in Engineering Standard Work.
• Coordinate component procurement, inventory and build for prototypes and samples.
• Prepare and present project status reports to management.
• Utilize AI tools to drive process optimization and efficiency.
• Assist in troubleshooting compressor performance and field issues.
