Job summary

HP, Inc. is seeking an R&D Manager for Hardware and System Validation to lead a team delivering validation for HP Z Workstation platforms.

This role oversees lab test functions, plan strategies, and ensures on-time delivery with quality and cost considerations across internal and external partners. The role combines leadership, technical breadth, and program execution, requiring collaboration with Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Software, QA, and Manufacturing to ensure customer readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Typically 5–10 years of hardware and software validation, lab tests, and product qualification experience.
• Typically 0–7 years of management or technical leadership experience in engineering functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead System Integration engineering and test teams for validation of HP Z Workstation computing platforms.
• Plan and deliver validation from early bring-up through initial product launch, sustaining updates, and lifecycle refreshes.
• Ensure validation coverage, entry and exit criteria, defect management, and readiness supported by evidence to deliver to program milestones and product quality objectives.
• Drive timely issue identification, prioritization, root-cause determination, and closure across partners, original design manufacturers, and internal teams.
• Partner with Architecture, Hardware, Software, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Field Engineering, and external development partners to assess risk and coordinate readiness.
