Job summary

Waters Corporation, a global leader in analytical instruments, is seeking an R&D Test Engineering Manager to lead system-level testing and validation of hardware and software products. You will coordinate cross-functional verification across mechanical, electrical, and software domains and mentor a team of test engineers to ensure reliability and quality before release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, mechanical, systems, computer engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in system test, verification & validation in an R&D environment.
• 3+ years in a leadership/management role.
• Proven track record leading system integration testing of hardware, firmware, and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and documentation of system-level verification and validation (V&V) activities for new product development.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and reports to ensure products meet design specifications and customer requirements.
• Coordinate and perform hardware, firmware, and software integration testing, ensuring smooth operation of all subsystems.
• Establish and maintain automated and manual test environments and tools to support efficient regression and system testing.
• Work closely with R&D design teams (hardware, software, and systems) to define test requirements early in the design process.
• Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, and Field Support teams to ensure seamless product transitions from development to production and market release.
• Serve as the primary R&D contact for technical support of released products, driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions for field issues.
• Communicate test progress, results, and issues effectively to senior management and project stakeholders.
• Manage and mentor a team of system test engineers and technicians.
