Job summary

Rexa, Inc. in Boston seeks an R&D Lab Test Technician to manage lab activities, maintain test equipment, and document results with precision.

You will support test plans, design verification, and software regression testing while assembling and repairing hydraulic and electronic systems. The role requires an associate/technical degree or equivalent experience, strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with tools, meters, and ERP/Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associates or technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferred or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical components.
• Experience with hand tools, electrical meters and test equipment.
• Strong ability to diagnose and repair complex hydraulic systems, fluid power circuits, and mechanical assemblies.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with use of diagnostic equipment, precision measuring instruments, power tools, and specialized mechanical hand tools.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and technical engineering drawings.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and self-motivated.
• Ability to work well within a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to adapt to learning new tasks and responsibilities.
• Competence with Microsoft Office programs and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of system test plans on new and existing products and document results.
• Support the execution of design verification plans on new and existing products and document results.
• Support or execute software regression testing and document results.
• Write basic test reports and document results.
• Debug/analyze customer electronics, software and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and upkeep the R&D lab and equipment.
• Create maintenance schedules for hydraulic equipment and monitor/manage schedules for lab activities.
• Assemble and repair hydraulic systems.
• Construct new electronics and hydraulic systems.
• Support resolving manufacturing related issues.
• Prepare and execute FAT testing.
• Basic AutoCAD & SW drawing creation or modification.
• Generate or resolve production-related incidents.
