Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking an Electronics Technician III to perform comprehensive testing of electronic circuits, PCBs, and automated test systems in an onsite lab environment. You will set up tests, collect data, analyze results, and collaborate with product development to drive design improvements.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and hands-on assembly, soldering, and debugging of prototype electronics, with the potential involvement in HALT/HASS testing and data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in electrical/electronic/mechanical/electromechanical product testing.
• Strong commitment to lab and workplace safety practices.
• Experience with electrical measurement, instrumentation, data acquisition, and monitoring equipment.
• Proficiency with through-hole and surface-mount soldering and prototype assembly.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts.
• Ability to interpret written test procedures and engineering instructions.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and power analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and execute performance, application, reliability, and validation tests.
• Record data accurately per test plans and procedures.
• Perform energy efficiency, performance, and safety testing per standards.
• Support HALT/HASS environmental testing where applicable.
• Monitor progress, troubleshoot setups, and report findings.
• Identify improvements based on test observations and data analysis.
• Assemble, modify, troubleshoot, and repair PCBs, circuits, and test fixtures.
• Interpret PCB documentation to support test setup and evaluation.
• Assist with PCB design reviews and component verification.
