Job summary

Prysmian is seeking an R&D Laboratory Engineer in the United States to own product testing supporting development, qualification, and continuous improvement. You will design and execute lab tests, prepare technical reports, maintain records, and interact with external agencies for certification testing.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Science, 2+ years in an industrial/R&D lab, and experience with ISO 17025 and quality systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or related technical discipline.
Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 quality systems.
2+ years hands-on lab calibration, testing schedules, and procedures in industrial or R&D lab.

Responsibilities

Design, execute, and analyze laboratory tests to support product development and continuous improvement.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports documenting testing activities, methods, results, conclusions, and recommendations.
Maintain accurate laboratory records per quality system requirements.
Communicate certification testing results to external agencies (UL, CSA, DLA).
Support ISO 17025 quality management system maintenance and improvement.
Lead and participate in Design of Experiments and problem-solving activities.
Provide technical guidance on test methods and validation strategies.
Develop, validate, and document new test methods, procedures, and lab practices.
Work independently while guiding laboratory technicians to meet objectives.
Contribute to laboratory safety programs and continuous improvement.
