Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking an R&D Lab Technician to join the Interventional Oncology development team. The role focuses on testing, analysis, and lab management for implantable microsphere devices and related product development.

The ideal candidate will have a science degree and 2+ years of laboratory experience in a regulated environment, with familiarity in FDA/QSR/ISO 13485 processes. This position offers growth within a global healthcare technology leader.

Qualifications

• Associate or 4-year degree preferred in biology, chemistry, or physics.
• 2+ years of laboratory experience in a regulated environment preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques and analytical methods is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply basic scientific principles and laboratory procedures to test method execution.
• Operate laboratory instruments, record observations and results.
• Characterize microsphere-based devices for structural and chemical properties.
• Quality assurance testing to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Plan and conduct R&D activities for implantable microsphere devices.
• Assist in development of prototype devices and cost-reduction efforts.
• Write technical documentation including process descriptions and test methods.
• Manage lab equipment and installation with vendors per quality requirements.
• Contribute to and maintain FDA DHF and ISO 13485 compliance.
• Perform root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
