Job summary

Actalent in Union City, CA seeks a Research and Development Technician Assistant to support experiments and product development. You will prepare and ship samples, monitor trials, and maintain equipment in a laboratory and processing environment consistent with food safety and quality standards.

The role involves data collection, documentation, and collaboration with the R&D team. This is a contract-to-hire, fully onsite position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 12 years of lab or commercial kitchen experience preferred.
• Experience with food safety and quality standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and ship samples to internal/external stakeholders with high quality.
• Monitor experiments and record observations clearly and accurately.
• Collect and organize experimental data; assist with basic data analysis as needed.
• Maintain and clean lab and kitchen equipment; stock supplies.
• Ensure safety protocols and quality standards are followed at all times.
