Actalent is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Laboratory Technician to support quality and food safety programs in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role blends hands-on laboratory testing with production floor quality inspections 70% lab, 30% floor, with weekly lab/production rotations.

The position emphasizes GMP/GLP, documentation in LIMS, and collaboration with production teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related scientific field OR
• Bachelor's degree with at least 6 months of lab or food industry experience OR
• Associate degree with 2+ years of quality, laboratory, or food manufacturing experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform sensory, physical, and chemical testing on finished products to verify specifications.
• Conduct wet chemistry and analytical testing (pH, viscosity, salt, moisture, UV-Vis, HPLC, Kjeldahl protein).
• Record and maintain test results in LIMS.
• Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with raw material testing, COA review, and document management.
• Participate in proficiency testing and external checks.
• Investigate product non-conformances and initiate corrective actions.
