Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks an experienced R&D Lab Technician to join the Test/GA team within the Structures Engineering Design Department.

You will support engineering design teams by disassembling and benchmarking existing products, fabricating prototype components, and executing various tests. Responsibilities include setting up performance tests for interior, exterior, chassis and BIW systems, analyzing results, building fixtures, diagnosing failures, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Associate degree in automotive or industrial technology required.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Read blueprints/schematics and interpret vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and conduct performance-related tests on interior, exterior, chassis, frame and BIW systems.
• Analyze test results and prepare technical reports for design teams.
• Execute teardown, benchmarking of competitor vehicles, and build/modify experimental components.
• Create custom test fixtures and calibrate lab equipment.
