Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. is seeking a Performance Testing Technician to instrument and test vehicles for performance and drivability at Mojave Proving Ground and other sites.

You will maintain equipment, perform data collection with CAN interfaces, MATLAB, ETAS, and Excel, and support root-cause analysis of vehicle and test-setup issues. The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Automotive Technology, a valid driver's license, 5 years' automotive R&D/testing experience, and

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• 5 years of Automotive Technician experience, especially R&D/testing.
• Experience working in culturally diverse team environments.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Instrument and test vehicles for performance and drivability at Mojave Proving Ground and other sites.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment and track usage.
• Perform vehicle hardware/software updates and root-cause analysis of issues.
• Install data collection devices and CAN interfaces for data acquisition.
• Conduct data processing with Excel, MATLAB, ETAS-INCA MDA, and other software.
• Travel up to 35% to California Proving Grounds and other locations.
