Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks a Senior Chassis Test & Development Test Planning Engineer for the California Proving Ground to lead and coordinate CTD testing across the vehicle development process.

You will manage prototype evaluations, calibration, on-site/off-site testing, and test-vehicle fleet operations while interfacing with Hyundai/Kia affiliates in North America. Strong project planning, MS Office skills, and 7+ years in automotive engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in automotive industry.
• General understanding of vehicle dynamics, NVH, braking, and powertrain systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate CTD-led development activities including prototype evaluations, calibration, on-site and off-site testing.
• Coordinate seasonal testing such as Summer in Death Valley and Winter in Minnesota.
• Manage test vehicle fleet throughout lifecycle: shipping, check-in, tracking, documentation, disposal.
• Track vehicle registrations, renewals, and manufacturer plates.
