Job summary

Legend Biotech is seeking an R&D Applications Specialist to join the Information Technology team in Somerset, NJ. The role focuses on operating and enhancing laboratory IT capabilities, including LabVantage LIMS/ELN and BMRAM, with emphasis on compliance and data integrity.

You will collaborate with lab, manufacturing, and IT teams to ensure accurate system setup, change control, and timely delivery of IT solutions for R&D laboratories.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 3–5 years biotech/pharma experience.
• Knowledge of GxP software administration and CSV.
• Installing, configuring and supporting systems and applications in lab environments.
• Experience with direct customer/user interaction, including training.
• Demonstrate an understanding of standards and improvements to laboratory computing environment.
• Experience supporting standalone or enterprise computerized systems and/or applications.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar).
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and computer systems validation (CSV).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Equipment/Asset Platform (Blue Mountain RAM), LIMS/ELN (Labvantage) and lab apps.
• Configure/enhance BMRAM per business requirements and ensure compliance.
• Configure/develop LabVantage LIMS/ELN; manage master data with change control.
• Troubleshoot instrument software and lab computer connectivity.
• Provision user accounts for equipment and scientific software.
• Coordinate with lab, manufacturing, analytical IT teams to align needs.
• Assist team with assigned work, ensure timely execution.
• Test changes through dry runs and system tests; user acceptance testing.
• Support change control and documentation of SOPs/WIs; training content.
• Support regulatory inspections and ITSM incident tracking.
• Maintain knowledge base articles and learn new skills.
