Job summary

Legend Biotech US in Somerset, NJ is seeking a Lab Support Specialist to support daily laboratory operations, manage samples, equipment, records, and supplies while assisting scientists and staff with testing activities.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to SOPs, safety/EHS, and regulatory requirements, with accurate documentation to maintain audit-ready labs. Weekend work may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, MLS or related field preferred.
• Laboratory or healthcare experience preferred.
• Familiarity with LIMS and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, track, and document samples in LIMS.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, software, IT systems, LIMS readiness.
• Manage supplies, reagents, chemicals, ordering, and forecasting.
• Support SOP compliance, audit readiness, EHS standards, and waste management.
• Coordinate with biosample management, warehouse teams, scientists, and lab staff.
• Assist with routine lab activities, reagent preparation, data recording, and issue escalation.
