Job summary

4D Molecular Therapeutics seeks a senior IT business partner to drive the R&D technology roadmap, aligning clinical, regulatory, safety, laboratory informatics, and manufacturing systems with the integrated research-to-commercial lifecycle.

You will manage validation, security, and data integrity across platforms, lead cross-functional teams, and support regulatory submissions and launch readiness for a highly regulated biotech environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA required in a technical, scientific, engineering, information systems or related field.
• MS/MA preferred for advanced technical leadership.
• Veeva Vault Platform Admin or related laboratory informatics certification a plus.
• 13+ years of IT/digital experience in biotech, with 8+ years leading R&D applications.
• Experience supporting Phase 3 trials, regulatory inspections and FDA-ready programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as deputy to Sr. Director, IT Business Partner, R&D, and translate strategy into delivery.
• Own roadmap and governance for assigned R&D platforms, including validation & security.
• Lead vendors, contractors & cross-functional project teams to meet milestones.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, TechOps, and Finance on launches.
• Contribute to data architecture, AI governance, and compliant data use in workflows.
• Support BLA submission readiness and archival platforms (e.g., Peer & Veeva RIM).
• Ensure 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity, access controls, and audit trails.
