Job summary

Mars Incorporated invites passionate students to join the Snacking Research and Development Internship Experience in the Chicago area. You will work on regulatory compliance, product development, sensory science, and data-driven decision making under a dedicated mentor.

The program runs 10–11 weeks each summer with on-site experiences, professional networking, and Mars University training to build foundational skills for a future in the consumer products industry.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a science or engineering field related to food, environment, packaging, or chemical engineering.
• Interest in data analytics, consumer insights, or sensory areas is a plus.
• Willingness to learn through hands-on R&D exposure and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to compliance, regulatory affairs, product/process/packaging development, and sensory work.
• Work with a functional lead mentor to guide your daily on-site experience.
• Support R&D priorities through data-driven insights and collaborative tasks.
