Job summary

Mars, Incorporated invites driven packaging students to join our Snacking Packaging Co‑Op in Chicago. This seven‑month program offers hands-on experience in sustainability, innovation, testing, and collaboration across global teams.

You will work with packaging engineers, product development, and manufacturing partners to deliver real-world Mars projects, while receiving mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Packaging Engineering degree or minor.
• Interest in packaging and consumer products industry.
• Strong teamwork and learning attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute packaging sustainability and innovation projects.
• Support ideating and realizing cost savings goals.
• Collaborate with packaging engineers, global factories and Quality & Food Safety teams.
• Perform hands-on packaging testing and prototyping in labs.
• Collaborate across Mars Snacking organizations and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in a 7-month Co‑Op program with real Mars projects.
