Job summary

Milliken and Company’s Encapsys division is seeking an R&D co-op internship in Appleton, WI for Fall 2026 through Summer 2027. The role targets students in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Biology/Microbiology, or Chemistry.

Interns will work 12–20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time during breaks and summer, carrying out lab experiments, collaborating with engineers and scientists, and delivering written summaries and presentations.

Qualifications

• Educational background includes individuals earning their B.S. or M.S. with at least a 3.00 GPA in any of the following programs, rising Juniors and Seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designing, planning, conducting and analyzing lab experiments.
• Partnering with engineers/scientists on lab, pilot or production experimental trials.
• Producing written summary reports and presentations.
• Evaluating trial products.
• Current projects include: product line extensions, cost and quality improvement projects, new product scale-ups.
