Job summary

Bio–Rad in Hercules, CA seeks an experienced instrument specialist to keep critical R&D instrumentation running reliably, supporting daily assays on HPLC and BioPlex systems. You will calibrate, maintain, and document activity to ensure data integrity and readiness for internal customers and timelines.

In this role you will troubleshoot complex issues, perform repairs, and coordinate service while tracking status and maintenance history.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering or related science.
5+ years service/support experience in relevant industry.
Hands-on experience with complex laboratory instrumentation (HPLC, BioPlex) including calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for method, hardware, and software issues.

Responsibilities

Set up, run, and monitor daily assays on HPLC and BioPlex systems to support product testing and development.
Perform calibration and preventive maintenance with documentation to ensure data integrity.
Troubleshoot method, hardware, and software issues and coordinate service when needed.
Coordinate repairs and parts logistics while maintaining maintenance history.
