Bio‑Rad is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support its manufacturing plant, which produces customized Genomics (PCR), Immuno‑Multiplex Assays (BioPlex), BioEducation (Special Manufacturing), and Proteomics (Precast) products. This role is part of the Manufacturing team—a multidisciplinary group of scientists and engineers focused on advancing innovative technologies and driving continuous improvement across the consumables manufacturing site.
In this role, the technician will collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to define infrastructure requirements and product specifications. The position plays a critical role in ensuring that process equipment, instrumentation, and automation systems are well‑integrated and operating efficiently, enabling smooth manufacturing operations and a seamless experience for both internal and external users.
The equipment environment is diverse and includes customized automated robotic systems, bioreactors, lyophilization systems, semi‑automated fill lines, and dispense systems. Instrumentation spans sensors, motors, control valves, and temperature, pressure, and speed transmitters. Automation platforms include Allen‑Bradley RSLogix, ControlLogix/CompactLogix, AutomationDirect HMIs, and PLC‑based control systems.
This position must be based in Hercules, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $57,000 to $78,500 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job‑permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and company performance.
