Job summary

KLN Family Brands/Tuffy’s Treat Company is offering an R&D Formulation Intern position in Delano, MN for the summer of 2027. The internship runs 10–12 weeks and is designed for college juniors and seniors pursuing Animal Science, Chemistry, or Biology.

You will work closely with our Pet Food Scientists and formulation/operations teams, gaining hands-on experience in product research, development, and formulation within a fast-growing pet food environment.

Qualifications

• Junior in college pursuing a degree in Animal Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Ability to dedicate 10-12 weeks to the internship program for Summer 2027.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work on-site at Delano, MN facility.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge of the production cycle for canned pet food and pet treats.
• Support the R&D and formulation team with day-to-day responsibilities, including product research, development, and formulation.
