Job summary

KLN Family Brands is seeking an R&D Formulation Intern for the summer of 2027 at our Perham, MN facility. You will work closely with our Pet Food Scientists and formulation/operations teams to learn the entire production cycle and contribute to research, development, and formulation projects.

The role requires a junior in college pursuing related fields, a 10–12 week summer commitment, and a collaborative attitude. Interns may be considered for full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• At least a Junior in college pursuing a degree in Animal Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• The ability to dedicate 10-12 weeks to the internship program for the summer of 2027.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• The ability to work in a team atmosphere and be a great co-worker.
• The ability to work on-site at our Perham, MN facility for the summer.

Responsibilities

• Gain comprehensive knowledge of the entire production cycle for our pet food products.
• Support the R&D and formulation team with day-to-day responsibilities, including product research, development, and formulation.
