Job summary
Instructure, Inc. is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead finance for our R&D organization. You will own FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for R&D, including software development costs and COGS, guiding strategic decisions with leadership.
You will partner with engineering and product leadership, drive headcount and resource planning, and present actionable recommendations to executives. This role combines technical finance with strategic influence across product roadmaps.
Qualifications
- Senior finance experience with leadership and mentoring.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics; MBA/CPA preferred.
- Experience partnering with engineering or product teams; cloud cost drivers helpful.
- 8+ years in FP&A/Engineering Finance in high-growth SaaS.
Responsibilities
- Lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for R&D.
- Own P&L for R&D, including headcount, COGS, and OPEX.
- Drive headcount/resource planning aligned with roadmaps.
- Prepare financial reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
- Partner with engineering/product teams on cost optimization.
- Mentor a senior analyst and support strategic initiatives.
