Job summary

Samsara Inc. seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with our R&D organization, managing Cloud, Cellular, and AI infrastructure costs while building robust reporting and forecast models. This remote US/Canada role supports month-end close and cost optimization in a fast-growth tech environment.

You will work with engineering leaders and accounting to drive insights, deliver management reporting, and contribute to strategic planning with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling skills and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• Experience at a high-growth tech company and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Software and Firmware Engineering to manage Cloud, Cellular, and AI vendor spend.
• Analyze financial results, prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting, and support reviews with R&D and Finance.
• Collaborate with Accounting on month-end close, cost classification, and reporting requests.
• Drive AOP planning with R&D teams and improve forecasting models.
• Develop new metrics to inspect business performance and leverage AI tools in reporting.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with scalable, accurate analytics.
• Promote Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally.
