Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance and Strategy, to partner with our R&D organization. You will drive quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform strategic judgments and guide forecasts, while leading FP&A across software, firmware, hardware engineering, product management, and supply chain operations.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Corporate Finance or strategic finance.
2+ years of people management experience.
Strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to senior management.

Responsibilities

Serve as the finance lead for Samsara's R&D organization, partnering with C-level leaders on budget trade-offs and headcount decisions.
Own FP&A for R&D and Supply Chain Operations, including monthly reviews, quarterly reforecasts, and the annual plan.
Own forecasting and controllership across major cost drivers such as COGS, hardware costs, and total compensation.
Build scalable financial processes and use AI tools to automate reporting and accelerate analysis.
Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team.
Hire and lead an inclusive, engaged team.
