Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking an R&D Engineering Systems Co‑op in Waltham, MA. You will join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team providing technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, software and catheter engineering, collaborating with regulatory and quality to support projects from concept through commercialization and sustainment of mapping systems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in biosciences/engineering with an expected grad date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Proficiency in MATLAB; familiarity with C, Linux and Python.
• Strong understanding of hardware/software systems.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Define and analyze system requirements, clinical workflows, and input/output processes.
• Solve system problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Document system architecture and design control through technical documents and memos.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Define, troubleshoot, and execute testing for system design and verification activities.
• Support industry standards testing for safety and EMC per IEC 60601-1.
• Assist with risk analysis for assigned projects.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives.
