Job summary

Kubota Water and Environment USA in Canton, OH is seeking a Research and Development Engineer to advance wastewater and water treatment technologies through experimental studies and real‑world pilot trials with an on-site role at the R&D Center.

You will design experiments, analyze data, and write technical papers, presenting findings at conferences while collaborating with Kubota Japan and municipal/industrial partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Research experience related to wastewater and/or water treatment.
• Ability to travel up to 50% for pilot studies, conferences, and treatment plant visits.

Responsibilities

• Observe and evaluate pilot-scale wastewater and water treatment plant operation.
• Collaborate with Kubota Japan Research Department and present data.
• Plan and design experiments, model wastewater treatment processes, analyze data.
• Manage pilot projects: budgeting, scheduling, and logistics.
• Prepare internal reports, conference papers, and publications.
• Travel to conferences to present research and represent Kubota.
