Job summary

Kubota Water and Environment USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead maintenance and troubleshooting of advanced MBR and water treatment systems across the Southwest. You will travel 50-90% to client sites, diagnose PLC/SCADA/HMI-driven issues, and mentor junior technicians while developing maintenance plans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in water/wastewater treatment, field service, or plant engineering.
• Expert knowledge of MBR systems, wastewater treatment, and process control.
• Strong background in PLC programming, HMI, and SCADA architecture.
• Experience with CAD design and system integration.
• Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA) and a DOT medical card.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50-90% based on location.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead advanced system troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Perform high-level diagnostics on PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
• Analyze technical issues, propose solutions, and execute corrective actions.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior and mid-level technicians.
• Develop technical documentation, maintenance plans, and best practices.
• Coordinate field service operations across multiple customer sites.
• Maintain a strong understanding of company products and industry best practices.
• Work closely with engineering teams to improve system performance.
