The role emphasizes true R&D, IP development, and preparing products for high-volume manufacturing with profitability in mind.

Qualifications

  • MSME, BSME, Physics or similar field required.
  • Minimum 4+ years in concurrent project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with GD&T methodologies.
  • Ability to travel ~10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a development arm of superconducting transmission lines and interfaces.
  • Work with SI (EE) to ensure mechanical design supports electrical performance.
  • Experience with braiding equipment and flexible coaxial cable manufacturing.
  • Responsible for material selection (metal, plastic, coatings).
  • Develop initial product specifications and technical documentation.
  • Develop and cultivate new suppliers for unusual manufacturing challenges.
  • Interface with customers during phases and aid in the sales process.
  • Collaborate with internal/external suppliers for DFM, prototyping, tooling design and qualifications; travel as needed.
