Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA seeks a Project Engineer/Multi-Disciplinary Engineering to drive systems analysis and R&D across the overhead intelligence portfolio. You will work with government officials and cross-functional teams to scope and integrate technical analyses for cutting-edge space technologies.

Senior-level candidates with 10+ years of experience may take lead on projects, coordinating inter-disciplinary teams and strategic investments in new concepts and CONOPs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • 6 or more years of relevant experience for Project Engineer; 10+ years for Sr. Project Engineer.
  • Experience in researching and developing new technologies for space systems (sensors, processing, or communications).
  • Active TS/SBI/SCI security clearance and polygraph; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage systems analysis, modeling and simulation across the customer portfolio.
  • Coordinate technical analysis to support R&D of new materials, technologies, and systems for overhead intelligence collection.
  • Evaluate impact of new concepts on national security space architecture.
  • Provide rigorous technical analysis to inform government decisions on future tech investments.
  • Interface with government officials, SETA, and contractor personnel in a fast-paced team.
  • Occasional travel.
