Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA, is seeking an International Lead System Engineer (Senior Project Leader – Systems Engineering) to guide collaboration with international partners and strategize R&D opportunities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include developing strategic plans, coordinating cross-enterprise efforts, and ensuring mission success across space systems programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, or science.
• 12 years of experience in space or ground systems development.
• Ability to think strategically and develop plans to implement new strategies.
• Must have TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and programmatic knowledge to customers to develop international space security cooperation partnerships for research and development systems.
• Assist the customer in the preparation of strategic plans, program plans, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate ETG teams for technical assessments of potential R&D activities.
• Facilitate and develop new partnerships and R&D activities across the enterprise.
• Provide mission assurance to system development efforts.
• Support test planning, technology assessments for hardware and software, and demonstrations.
• Anticipate future enterprise needs and generate innovative solutions.
• Lead export coordination across the Enterprise.
