Position Reporting To

R&D/Technology Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

Support the ELSP (Smart Power) Business, specifically the NEMA enclosed ATS Agile Team within the Distribution & Energy Management (DEM) Agile Unit. Implement innovative product solutions to add value for customers and succeed in the market. The work model is hybrid, and the role involves working across three locations: Bloomfield, CT; Senatobia, MS; and Mebane, NC. The initial assignment will be in either Bloomfield or Senatobia, with opportunities for relocation after a year, culminating in a final permanent location decision.

You will be mainly responsible for:

• Exhibiting strong leadership and technical expertise in fundamentals, quality, safety, compliance, and new product introduction.
• Performing diverse tasks across mechanics, electronics, thermal, and software domains, from concept through design, testing, and technology transfer.
• Understanding key drivers in your business/technology area to make informed judgments, contribute to results, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Following up on and improving activities and projects.

Qualifications for the Role

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Power, or a related field, with at least 2 years' experience in electrical distribution product development.
• Experience in manufacturing implementation, design documentation, and familiarity with Creo and Windchill is preferred.
• Knowledge of product and solution testing, working with global test labs and certification agencies.
• Experience with electrical products like switches, transfer switches, circuit breakers, and understanding of certification standards (UL, IEC, IEEE).
• LEAN and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 5%, with rare international trips.
• Legal work authorization for employment in the US is required.
