Job Opening: R&D Engineer/Scientist II

There is an immediate opening for an R&D Engineer/Scientist II position within the Engineering, Design and Construction Group at our Research and Development facilities. This role involves project management responsibilities for the design and construction of new and revamped pilot plants for R&D. The position requires on-site presence at both Riverside/McCook and Des Plaines locations.

As an R&D Engineer/Scientist II, you will significantly influence the development of innovative technologies, managing a project portfolio exceeding $9M annually, contributing to Honeywell's mission to solve global challenges through innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure HS&E compliance in all design and construction activities, adhering to policies, procedures, and environmental regulations, and ensuring pilot plants are safe and environmentally compliant.
• Develop engineering standards for pilot plant design and construction.
• Support Lean Six Sigma initiatives, including HOS, to improve processes and reduce project time and costs.
• Provide engineering support to R&D projects.
• Mentor engineering staff in pilot plant design engineering.
• Manage schedules and budgets for all internal R&D capital projects.

The annual base salary ranges from $86,400 to $108,000. Salary offers are influenced by experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
