Job summary

ProMed is seeking a Senior Engineer to accelerate the commercialization of innovative medical devices by developing scalable manufacturing processes in Plymouth, MN. You will drive process validation, design for manufacturability, and technology transfer from prototype to production, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, risk mitigation, and technical leadership across teams to cut development cycles and improve yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication skills to interact with management, customers, and colleagues.
• At least 3 years of applicable engineering experience in product development or manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently with multiple priorities.
• Demonstrable working knowledge of medical manufacturing concepts, practices, procedures, design for manufacturability, and quality systems requirements.
• Previous experience with CAD software, print reading with GD, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative manufacturing processes to enable successful commercialization of new medical device products.
• Lead technical research and prototype projects to meet customer requirements and delivery commitments.
• Mitigate manufacturing and project risks through technical expertise and contingency planning.
• Ensure quality systems compliance and technical documentation integrity for audits and regulatory adherence.
• Build technical capability across the organization through training and cross-functional collaboration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate completion of technical assignments.
