Job summary

Chromalox, a global leader in thermal solutions, seeks an R&D Engineer to advance heat trace cables and connection kits from concept to product realization. You will translate market, regulatory, and manufacturing needs into safe, reliable, and manufacturable designs while collaborating with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
Experience with heat trace cables and related products preferred.
Structured product development process experience.

Responsibilities

Own R&D projects for heat trace cable platforms and related kits.
Translate customer, regulatory, and manufacturing needs into engineering specs and criteria.
Develop cable constructions, sealing and insulation systems for industrial heat trace.
Lead design, prototyping, verification, certification, and product launch activities.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and third-party labs for testing and documentation.
Plan and execute electrical, thermal, mechanical, environmental, and IP testing as applicable.
Support product launches with technical content and training.
