Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician in Colorado Springs, CO to support DoD and DoE programs.

You will assemble and fabricate using production tools, read detailed instructions, and collaborate with QA/QC and engineering teams to ensure high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 2–7 years of relevant technical experience, the ability to work independently, and strong reading of schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–7 years of relevant technical job experience.
• Ability to pass OSHA Pulmonary Fitness Test for respirator wear.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow documented work instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics.

Responsibilities

• Capable of using production level mechanical and fabrication tools.
• Read and follow detailed work instructions and reports to QA/QC.
• Interact with engineering staff and vendors; provide process feedback.
• Conduct assembly across electrical, painting, and mechanical tasks.
• Ensure parts and assemblies meet technical drawings and specs.
