Mainspring Energy in Menlo Park, CA is seeking a solid R&D Electrical Technician. You’ll contribute to electrical fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting in a high-voltage R&D environment. The role requires hands-on experience with heavy electrical equipment and a strong focus on safety and documentation.

You will work closely with electrical engineers to build reliable, power-generation solutions. This onsite role offers hourly pay with competitive benefits and stock options.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years electro-mechanical technician experience.
• Experience with high voltage and large electrical equipment.
• Ability to visually detect defects and repair them quickly.
• Proficient with hand tools and measurement devices.
• Work well in a fast-paced environment with safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport heavy electrical cables and tools to job sites.
• Measure and cut thick heavy-duty cables and wiring.
• Set up job sites; stage equipment; keep areas clean and hazard-free.
• Repair and qualify electronics, inverters, load banks.
• Build electrical enclosures with engineers following instructions.
• Run software and set up hardware; use browser apps to test and troubleshoot.
