Job summary

Wolfspeed in Durham, NC is seeking a hands-on R&D specialist for the Crystal Growth group to perform technical tests and prepare processing equipment, monitoring test runs and assisting engineers and scientists on related projects.

Experience in crystal growth is preferred. You will handle routine loading/unloading of equipment, support measurements, and disposition crystals and parts after runs while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Wolfspeed is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Experience running and troubleshooting manufacturing tools preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Comfortable handling ambiguity and running non-standard processing alongside peers.
• Comfortable collaborating with engineers, scientists, and equipment and process personnel within the Materials Crystal Growth team

Responsibilities

• Routine loading and unloading of the equipment used in Crystal Growth.
• Working with the scientists on any additional measurements or work to be done to support the overall R&D projects or department goals.
• Prepare and secure any parts needed as well as dispositioning crystals and parts after the completed runs
