Wolfspeed, Inc. in Durham, NC is seeking an Equipment Technician to support production and R&D systems.
You will perform startup, modifications, upgrades, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance with strong focus on hands-on mechanical assembly, high vacuum systems, and light electrical work. Minimum requirements include at least 2 years CMP experience on the Applied Materials Mirra platform, an Associate's degree in EE or military equivalent, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts.

As a member of the Global Materials Operations Equipment team, the person in this role will be responsible for performing equipment startup, modifications, upgrades, troubleshooting and maintenance on production and R&D systems. This role will interact directly with process engineering and other groups to meet department and Wolfspeed goals. Successful candidates will have a strong team mentality and strong communication skills. Candidates working in this area must exhibit and mandate safe working practices. This role will also be responsible for a diverse mixture of activities with a strong emphasis on hands-on mechanical assembly, high vacuum systems, and light electrical work.
Minimum requirements at least 2 years CMP experience on the Applied Materials Mirra platform.
Both day and night shift opportunities are available.
This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
