Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Research and Development co-op student for a 6-month, full-time term at our Alpharetta, GA location.

The role involves hands-on lab work in a manufacturing environment, supporting R&D and site projects, and exposure to automotive and aerospace adhesives/coatings. The candidate should be pursuing degrees in Paper Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Bioengineering, with strong Excel/Office skills and laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Working toward a degree in Paper Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical or Bio Engineering.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and analytical skills.
• Laboratory experience and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Key R&D and site project support.
• Industrial and Medical adhesives coating – sample preparation, testing.
• Automotive and Aerospace qualified adhesives and coatings.
• General Raw material screening and analysis.
• Process Optimization/Continuous Improvement Projects.
• Product development trial coverage/evaluation (with supervision).
• Product Cost Modeling/Analysis.
• Preparing presentations and presenting work.
• Maintaining/organizing/cleaning workspace.
• Keep a Lab Notebook.
