Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is seeking an R&D Intern for a full-time, 6-month co-op from January 4th to June 30th.

The role offers exposure to a laboratory environment alongside the manufacturing floor in Windsor, Connecticut, with a 40-hour work week. Preferred candidates are pursuing degrees in Paper Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical or Bio Engineering and have strong Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills, analytical abilities, and laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Preferred Candidate would be working towards a degree in Paper Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical or Bio Engineering, but not limiting
• Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
• Good organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Key R&D and site project support
• Industrial and Medical adhesives coating - sample preparation, testing
• Automotive and Aerospace qualified adhesives and coatings
• General Raw material screening and analysis
• Process Optimization/Continuous Improvement Projects
• Product development trial coverage/evaluation (with supervision)
• Product Cost Modeling/Analysis
• Preparing presentations/presenting work
• Maintaining/organizing/cleaning workspace
• Lab Notebook maintenance
