Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Research and Development co-op student for a full-time, 6-month term from January 4 through June 30. The role offers a laboratory environment with exposure to a manufacturing floor and hands-on experience in adhesives coating, product development, and data analysis.

You will support key R&D projects, prepare samples, perform tests, document results in a lab notebook, and contribute to process optimization while under supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Paper Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical or Bio Engineering.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
• Laboratory experience and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Key R&D and site project support.
• Industrial and Medical adhesives coating – sample preparation, testing.
• Automotive and Aerospace qualified adhesives and coatings.
• General Raw material screening and analysis.
• Process Optimization/Continuous Improvement Projects.
• Product development trial coverage/evaluation (with supervision).
• Product Cost Modeling/Analysis.
• Preparing presentations/presenting work.
• Maintaining/organizing/cleaning workspace.
• Maintain Lab Notebook.
