Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is a global leader in specialty materials seeking a Research and Development co-op student for a full-time 6-month term. The role offers exposure to a manufacturing floor and a laboratory environment, with a 40-hour work week.

Preferred candidates are pursuing degrees in Paper Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical/Bio Engineering. Candidates with strong Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills, organizational and analytical abilities, and laboratory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Preferred candidate pursuing a degree in Paper Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical/Bio Engineering.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Laboratory experience and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Key R&D and site project support.
• Industrial and Medical adhesives coating — sample preparation, testing.
• Automotive and Aerospace qualified adhesives and coatings.
• General raw material screening and analysis.
• Process optimization/continuous improvement projects.
• Product development trial coverage/evaluation (with supervision).
• Product cost modeling/analysis.
• Preparing presentations and presenting work.
• Maintaining/organizing/cleaning workspace.
• Keep Lab Notebook.

Research and Development co-op student. Full time, 6 months term - January 4th to June 30th. Laboratory environment with exposure to a manufacturing floor. 40 hours, 5 days work week.

No ability to take summer courses while at work.

Preferred Candidate would be working towards a degree in the following fields: Paper Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical or Bio Engineering but not limiting

Candidates with the following experience/attributes will be given higher consideration:

• Great Efficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Good organizational skills

Job functions will include
