Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Paper Science, Chemistry or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 full years of coursework completed; preference for 3+ years.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA in your field of study.
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Strong initiative, curiosity to learn and improve the business.
  • Ability to analyze information, synthesize findings and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with R&D on process efficiency improvements, cost savings and tech development.
  • Attend leadership meetings, report out tasks and follow through on assignments.
  • Work with scientists to identify paper properties.
  • Participate in new customer trials.
  • Help leadership update or create standard operating procedures.
  • Handle project work as assigned by R&D management.

Description

We are actively pursuing an Intern with Chemical Engineering or Paper Science background to complete a 12-week program starting in May 2026 in Neenah, WI. The Internship program will provide exposure to many aspects of research and development, including a multi-functional team setting, real time production, process experience and project work with specific deliverables and exposure to the mill environment. Interns will participate in daily R&D activities to learn technical properties and quality issues of paper or paper-based materials. Ideal candidates will possess high initiative and drive, with a curiosity to perpetually learn and improve our business. Key requirements include the ability to analyze information to find opportunities, effectively communicate, and work collaboratively in a team setting. Previous internship experience is preferred. Rate of pay ranges from $22/hour to $26/hour depending upon experience.

Responsibilities
  • Work with R&D team on process efficiency improvements, cost savings, new business development projects and/or technology advancement.
  • Attending meetings with leadership team, reporting out and assigned tasks from meeting.
  • Work with scientists and identify paper properties.
  • Participate in new customer trials.
  • Work with leadership to modify or create standard operating procedures.
  • Project work as assigned by R&D management.
Qualifications
  • Individual must be currently enrolled and working toward a degree with a concentration in Paper Science, Chemistry or Engineering discipline.
  • Student will need to have completed a minimum of 2-full years of course work with preference for individuals who have completed 3-full years.
  • Preference is a minimum 3.0 GPA in your academic field of study.
  • Must have solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Ideal candidates will possess high initiative and drive, with a curiosity to perpetually learn and improve our business.
  • Key requirements include the ability to analyze information to find opportunities, effectively synthesize and communicate findings, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
