Job summary

As an intern, you will prepare samples, conduct experiments under supervision, help improve sample preparation and data processing, and maintain lab equipment while following safety practices. This 12-week full-time internship starts in June 2027 and is based at the Richmond in-office site.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Completed introductory science coursework with interest in science/research.
• Familiarity with lab equipment (balances, pH meters, pipettes).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work safely in a lab following GLP/safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for laboratory analysis and assist with instruments.
• Support R&D projects by conducting experiments under supervision.
• Contribute ideas to improve sample prep, data processing, and workflows.
• Set up, maintain, and dismantle experimental equipment.
• Maintain lab organization and cleanliness, inventory, and glassware.
