Job summary

Haleon’s Richmond Summer Intern program at the VCU School of Pharmacy in Virginia offers hands-on experience in formulation development, product testing, and data analysis under senior scientists. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain exposure to the product development process within a global consumer healthcare company.

The internship runs for 12 weeks (June 2027 start), with a 40-hour workweek and in-office presence.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree through the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Preferred: Interest in consumer healthcare, research and development, product development, or product testing.
• Preferred: Experience through coursework or laboratory projects involving scientific experimentation and data analysis.
• Preferred: Familiarity with GLP or laboratory documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Support formulation, product development, product evaluation, and/or testing activities under the guidance of a mentor.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, analyze data, and document findings while following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and maintaining accurate scientific records.
• Analyze and interpret results, prepare presentations, and communicate findings to project teams and stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings, contribute to project discussions, and collaborate with cross-functional partners across Formulation, Analytical, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.
• Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards, good scientific practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), where applicable.
• Present project outcomes and key learnings during end-of-summer presentations.
