Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in chemistry design, characterization, functional testing, and problem‑solving.
• Expert‑level proficiency in analytical laboratory techniques, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical information to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate new chemical analysis methods for Hach instrumentation through independent research.
• Create reagent formulations, calibrations, and quality control procedures with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and operations to commercialize new or modified products and applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to chemists, engineers, technicians, and interns.
• Support manufacturing through chemistry expertise, training, and problem‑solving to improve production efficiency.
• Document development work, review competitive literature, and translate market needs into product design decisions.
