Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Project Chemist for the Applications Development Center in Ashland, VA. You will deliver laboratory support, conduct chemical and biological testing, and design sampling protocols to analyze water, wastewater, and industrial process samples.

Requirements include a chemistry degree and 5+ years in a process chemistry or environmental lab. Strong instrumentation skills (ICP/ICP-MS, UV/VIS, GC/GC-MS) and QA/QC adherence are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry preferred; chemical engineering, biology, or environmental science acceptable.
• Five years plus experience in a process chemistry or environmental laboratory setting.
• Technical understanding of instrumentation and EPA water/wastewater methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and instrumental analyses for water and wastewater.
• Conduct physical and chemical analyses per EPA procedures.
• Perform wet chemistry, colorimetric, titrations, gravimetric, and microbial tests.
• Maintain and calibrate analytical instrumentation and provide support to commercial groups.
• Assist in writing technical papers and reports; ensure data quality and timely delivery.
