Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field (or MS with 5+ years) with relevant R&D experience.
• Demonstrated design, characterization, and testing of chemical systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in analytical laboratory techniques.
• Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate new chemical analysis methods for Hach instrumentation.
• Create reagent formulations, calibrations, and QC procedures with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and operations to commercialize products.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to chemists, engineers, technicians, and interns.
• Support manufacturing with chemistry expertise to improve production efficiency.
• Document development work and translate market needs into product design decisions.
